Why Study Sport Management?

The sporting industry in the U.S. is a $200 billion a year business. By earning a business degree with a concentration in sport management, you will be prepared for exciting careers in professional sport management, college and high-school athletic departments, park and recreation programs, health clubs, sports media and marketing, and nonprofit sports and fitness organizations like the YMCA.

Internship Requirement and Sites

To earn a business and economics degree with a concentration in sport management you’ll complete a 150-hour minimum internship. This valuable first-person experience in a professional setting will introduce you to the industry and help you build connections that may help you in your first career after college. Our Career Development and Internship Office will help match you with the best internship for your career goals.
