Study Abroad in Ecuador
Immersive study-abroad experiences give North Park’s Spanish majors the opportunity to experience first-hand Latino and Latin American cultures as well as practice their language skills among native Spanish speakers. Two options are available.
Winter Term in Ecuador
After completing three semesters of college-level Spanish, North Park students can apply to participate in a special program in Cuenca, in the south central region of Ecuador. This program pairs intensive study in Spanish language and Latin American culture with travel, service opportunities, and host family living. Each winter, a group of North Park students are accompanied by a member of the Spanish Department faculty to live and study in Cuenca for eight weeks.
