Timeline
Every student and family is unique, and financial aid packages are customized to each applicant. However, here are a few general guidelines and important dates that all students and families should be aware of in order to have a smooth financial aid and payment experience at ϳԹ. We’ve laid them out in a calendar similar to the academic year—from August through July.
Each of the items on our timeline below link to more information on how you can accomplish these tasks. But please don’t hesitate to call your admissions recruiter or Financial Aid Office if you have more questions or about your specific situation.
August
Fall semester begins at ϳԹ. If you have not already done so, to pay your fall semester bill by the current year’s payment due date.
September
You will experience many of the during your first few weeks: books and class supplies, a computer, moving expenses. It doesn’t hurt to start thinking about—and planning for—these things early.
November
How much will ϳԹ cost next year? What scholarships or grants might you be eligible for? Use our to estimate your cost and financial aid based on basic tax information, GPA, and test scores. North Park starts sending financial aid packages in late November.
December
We recommend you file the FAFSA as early as possible. It will be available beginning December 1. If you are an Illinois resident, it is vital that you to be considered for the ., including how and why completing this free online application is essential.
January
If your financial aid application is selected for verification, don’t panic. Just provide the additional documents that are requested, such as linking your taxes to your FAFSA, W‐2 and 1099 forms. The federal government selects approximately 30% of the FAFSAs for verification.
April
If you have not already done so, to let ϳԹ know you’ll be attending the University next year. It is refundable until June 1, and will appear as a credit on your first-semester bill after you enroll.
May
Do you have everything in order? Make sure you’re checking your to see if the Financial Aid Office needs any additional information from you or if you have been selected for FAFSA verification.
July
