Group Visits

ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï offers two types of group visits, which can be a great option for groups from area high schools, community organizations, or churches. You can after you review the options and decide which is right for you. Please note that we are only able to host group visits on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. We cannot host any group visits on Saturdays or Sundays.

Option A: Exploring ºÚÁϳԹÏ

If your group consists of students in grades 9 through 12 who are specifically interested in exploring ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï as a potential college, this is the program for your group. The visit begins at 9:00 am, 10:00 am or 11:00 am, and includes a brief presentation about the University and a campus tour. The 11:00 am option also includes lunch in our dining hall (during the regular academic year). The entire visit experience will be between 1.5 and 2.5 hours.

(Please note that group visits are not available on Wednesdays at 11:00 am due to our University chapel schedule.)

Option B: College Readiness Program

This program is appropriate for any student in grades 9 through 12, although it is primarily intended for those who are first-generation college students or who are new to exploring what it takes to get ready for college. The program is designed around a 45-minute workshop that introduces students to the terminology and processes of higher education. It covers topics such as:

  • how best to prepare for college
  • how to select the right college
  • how to fund a college education
  • the basics of the college admission process

Many community-based organizations or groups from college-preparatory programs in high schools (e.g., AVID, TRIO, Upward Bound, college bridge initiatives, etc.) utilize our college readiness program as a resource for their students. The visit begins at 9:00 am, 10:00 am or 11:00 am and includes a campus tour. The 11:00 am option also includes lunch in our dining hall (during the regular academic year).
