Scope

All financial and administrative policies involving community members across campus, including volunteers are within the scope of this policy. If there is a variance between departmental expectations and the common approach described through college policy, the college will look to the campus community, including volunteers to support the spirit and the objectives of college policy. Unless specifically mentioned in a college policy, the college’s Board of Trustees are governed by their Bylaws.

Policy

ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï does not discriminate in its treatment, access to, admissions to, employment in or administration of its educational programs, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, athletics programs, employment practices, or in any other College programs or activities on the basis of race, creed, color, caste, religion, national origin, ancestry, sex (including pregnancy, gender identity or gender expression, perceived gender, sexual preference and sexual orientation), marital status, disability, veteran status, age, genetic information, or any other applicable status protected by federal, state, or local law.

The College has instituted policies and procedures to ensure a safe environment free of unlawful discrimination, harassment, or retaliation and to meet its legal requirements as an institution of equal educational opportunity that is subject to Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 as amended, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the Age Discrimination Act of 1975, and other applicable federal, state, and local laws; and as an equal opportunity employer that is subject to Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1967, Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act of 2008, and the Colorado Anti-Discrimination Act and other applicable federal, state, and local laws.

Procedures

Any student or employee who believes they have been a target of unlawful discrimination or harassment, as defined in the College’s policies, or who has witnessed such unlawful discrimination or harassment, must immediately report it to the Title IX Coordinator or file a report at . The College will promptly investigate the matter and take appropriate corrective action when necessary. Complaints concerning sexual harassment and inappropriate sexual conduct will be handled through the procedures outlined in the College’s Nondiscrimination and Anti-Harassment Policy and Procedures and/or the Title IX Sexual Harassment Grievance Procedures. All other complaints of discrimination or harassment will be handled through the procedures outlined in the College’s Nondiscrimination and Anti-Harassment Policy and Procedures. Your complaint will be kept as confidential as practicable.

The College will provide qualified persons with disabilities with reasonable accommodations that do not pose an undue burden on the College.
