Emerson Cobbley is a student at ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï in Chicago, where she is pursuing a double major in English Literature and Art with a focus in graphic design. She grew up in Washington, and much of her work draws from the natural landscape of the Pacific Northwest. She has done graphic design work for ecological nonprofits, the USDA Forest Service, and Young Evangelicals for Climate Action. Her fine art practice includes a Junior Showcase in ºÚÁϳԹÏ’s Carlson Tower Gallery, a Scholarship Showcase in Brandel Library Gallery, and the ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï fine art magazine, The North Branch. Presently, she is exploring the intersectionality between nature, literature, and the embodied and cerebral human experience, through acrylic paintings on panel, intricate pen drawings, digital illustration, and sculpted fabric.
