As the assistant chapel coordinator at ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï and the pastor of worship and creative arts at the Resurrection Covenant Church, Dr. Bjorlin incorporates his experiences into the classroom by combining theory, practice, and reflection. Framing his classes through a city-centered lens, Dr. Bjorlin emphasizes that in order to understand worship, one must first understand location. He aims to teach students the importance of learning what it means to be a Christian living in a particular city surrounded by different cultures. Dr. Bjorlin says, “I love working at a school in the diverse heart of a beautiful and complex city like Chicago.” David is also an ordained pastor in the Evangelical Covenant Church and has served as the worship pastor at three Covenant churches. He is currently Pastor of Worship Arts at Resurrection Covenant Church in Chicago where he has served for almost ten years. In addition to his pastoral ministry, he is a published hymnwriter and will be publishing his first book of hymns with GIA this year.
