Publicly Engaged, Actionable Knowledge (PEAK) Project
Are you a CC faculty or staff educator interested in community-engaged learning, but need an idea for a project or a community partner? A community partner wanting to connect to the classroom projects? You've landed on the right page.
The PEAK Project connects knowledge to action for community impact.
What is the PEAK Project?
Vision
Mission
To work toward this vision and fulfill the mission, we:
- Educate stakeholders about best practices
- Connect CC educators, students, and partners to co-create: courses that provide opportunity to teach for community impact and learn about changemaking, and
- Promote community-engaged teaching, learning, and research at CC through recruiting, advocating, and storytelling efforts
How does the program work?
The visual below summarizes the process through which we connect CC educators to community partners to co-create community-engaged learning classroom projects.
For a limited time, those who participate in the PEAK Project and are successfully "matched" will be eligible to receive project development stipends ($500 each for faculty and community partners) to honor the time, capacity, and thought-work that goes into developing community-engaged learning projects. This funding is generously provided through the , through which the CCE received a grant. Funds will be offered until grant funding is exhausted.
