Parking Violations 

Only registered parking permits and vehicles may access ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï on-campus parking lots and or adjacent street area/zones. Any parked vehicle not registered through the Parking Office will be subject to a parking citation, more than five citations may result in immobilization of the vehicle, at the owner's expense.  Citations issued to vehicles on street area/zones, will need to be paid through the City of Colorado Springs, as outlined on the citation.  

  • Vehicle violation appeals must be submitted within 10 days of the violation, aappeals received after 10 days will not be considered for any reason.  See the appeals tab for the appeals process.
  • Vehicles may be towed without warning if they are parked improperly.
    • This may include but is not limited to vehicles: blocking parking lot entrances, fire lanes, loading docks, dumpster or recycling bins; parked in driveways; parked on grass; parked in accessible spaces without appropriate tags or permits.  
  • Repeated violations will result in disciplinary action, which may include but is not limited to: revocation of campus parking privileges, vehicle immobilization, or towing.
    • A $50 fee will be assessed for removal of the immobilization device in addition to the total amount of unpaid citations

  • PLEASE NOTE: You will need to know both your citation number and citation amount in order to proceed with the online payment portal. Email Parking at parking@coloradocollege.edu if you need this information.

Citations may also be paid at the Parking Office, located at 219 E Uintah Street, or mailed/sent via intercampus mail to: Parking Office, 14 E Cache La Poudre Colorado Springs, CO 80903.

Any vehicle determined to be a hazard or obstructing traffic will be towed, possibly impounded without warning, and the cost of towing/impounding will be charged at the owner's expense. The college will dispose of vehicles abandoned on college property for a period of two weeks. The cost of disposal will be charged to the registered owner.

Unpaid Citations

Community members will receive monthly emails outlining all unpaid citations.

Students:

  • Continued violations will be investigated and appropriate action will be taken. Habitual offenders will be referred to student conduct. 
  • Unpaid citations will be sent to student accounts for billing collection after Block 8.

Staff/Faculty:

Upon Permit & Vehicle registration, employees authorize and acknowledge the ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï Payroll Office to withhold the parking citation amount, if they do not pay after thirty days of receiving the citation, The College Payroll Office may then withhold all unpaid citation amount(s). These amounts are attributable to the failure of adhering to the campus parking regulations.
