ANNUAL EVENTS
Spring Semester:
- Equity & Power Course Development Program
Faculty from all disciplines are encouraged to participate. In this program, participants discuss the nuts and bolts of developing and teaching a course with an equity and power designation. Faculty are encouraged to participate in this program if they are interested in developing an equity and power course designation proposal. In addition, faculty who currently teach courses with the equity and power designation are welcome to participate.
Summer Semester:
- New Faculty Orientation
The Dean's Office and the Crown Faculty Center support the transition to the College of new tenure-track faculty, year-long visitors, and Riley Scholars. Beginning with New Faculty Orientation at the end of the summer and continuing with blockly events, New Faculty programming provides support for teaching on the Block Plan, introduces new faculty to colleagues across the campus, and shares College support for faculty scholarship. Fostering community among the new faculty is also a goal of this cohort-based faculty development program.
