Meet Our Staff

Sara Rotunno (she/her), Director of Accessibility Resources & ADA/504 Coordinator

Sara's work in higher education has focused on supporting students in various ways. She earned her BA in sociology and elementary education from the University of Northern Colorado and her MA in higher education at Saint Louis University. She began working at ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï in 2007 as a residential life coordinator and continued with Residential Life and Housing when promoted to assistant director.

Sara changed her focus in higher education in 2015 when she became the assistant director of Accessibility Resources and then the Director & ADA/504 Coordinator in 2023. She is delighted to be part of a community that embraces antiracism, diversity, equity, and inclusion and focuses on student wellness. Sara has been involved with student support through social justice and civil rights initiatives, residential experiences, programming, and crisis management throughout her career. She is excited to continue her work serving ºÚÁϳԹÏ's incredible community and supporting accessibility, equity, and inclusivity.

Zac Lounsbury (he/him), Assistant Director 

Zac Lounsbury 2023

Zac is an experienced educator with a diverse background supporting students over the past decade. While his focus has been working with students with disabilities, his prior positions range from teaching Shakespeare to middle schoolers to leading high school instruction in a classroom for students with autism spectrum disorder to helping facilitate post-secondary social justice education curricula. 

Zac earned his BA in theatre from Middlebury College. His graduate work is in higher education from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst where he also served as a disability services case manager. He has been with Accessibility Resources at ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï since February 2022 and is thrilled to continue the work of making educational opportunities accessible to all within the vibrant, bold, and inspiring community of CC.

Natalie Garro (she/her), Access & Accommodation Specialist

Natalie HeadshotNatalie comes to ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï with a variety of domestic and international experiences. Passionate about education and service, Natalie served in the United States Peace Corps as an educator in Thailand from 2017 – 2020 and with Teach for America as a Special Education teacher in Brooklyn from 2020 – 2021 before returning to Colorado, where she most recently worked in Marketing and Communications at Fountain Valley School before transitioning to CC. Natalie also has a background as a wine consultant prior to working in education.

Natalie holds a Bachelors of the Arts in English and Philosophy from the University of Colorado in Boulder, as well as a Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) certificate. Natalie joined the Accessibility Resources team in June 2023 and cannot wait to serve the CC students and community through collaborative and innovative measures.

Thecla Shubert (she/her), Accommodation Support Coordinator 

Headshot of Thecla ShubertThecla Shubert has worked for ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï since 2021 and has previously worked with the Butler Center and the History Department. Currently, she assists with a variety of administrative tasks as well as with captioning and interpreting services and accessibility technology. She holds an associate degree in Communication from PPCC and a bachelor's degree in History from UCCS and is hoping to continue her education in the field of psychology or social work. Outside of work, her hobbies include embroidery, reading, watercolors, and playing with her cats.

Thecla is excited to serve the vibrant CC student body and to support equity and access on campus!
