Housing Accommodations
As a residential college, ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï strongly believes that life in our residence halls is a central part of the holistic learning experience that characterizes a liberal arts education. Generally, all students live on campus for the first three years of their enrollment at CC. Our students live in a diverse neighborhood of traditional residence halls, historic mansions, and modern apartments that offer a variety of housing options. Each community is geared toward helping students create an experience that is appropriate for their year in college. Please refer to the Office of Housing & Residential Experience website for a full description of the residential program.
The Offices of Accessibility Resources and Housing & Residential Experience work together to ensure that students with disabilities have equal access to the college's housing resources. The Accessibility Resources staff is available to meet with students to talk about specific requests for housing accommodations (e.g., wheelchair accessible room, single room, access to a kitchen or single-use bathroom, visual alarm). We carefully consider each request for accommodation on a case-by-case basis.
Process to Request Housing Accommodations:
ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï students requesting a disability-related housing accommodation, will need to complete the housing accommodation request process outlined below. Students who have received housing accommodations in the past must submit a new request each year to be reconsidered. Housing accommodation requests submitted after published dates will still be considered. However, after these dates, requests may not be reviewed until after the Housing & Residential Experience room selection process has ended.
- Complete the Accessibility Resources "" form if this form has not been submitted previously.

Please keep the following in mind:
- Refer to the Office of Housing & Residential Experience website for important dates and deadlines for the room selection process.
- Single rooms based on a student's desire to have a "quiet, undisturbed place to study or relax" will rarely be provided. By virtue of the shared facilities, resources, and the number of people living under one roof in the residence halls, a single room does not necessarily provide a quieter, more distraction-free space than a standard shared room.
- Requests to move off-campus early are rarely granted, as most students can be accommodated through the variety of on-campus housing options available at ºÚÁϳԹÏ.
- To appeal a housing accommodation decision, please follow the Accessibility Resources Appeal Policy and Procedures.
