Temporary Operational Groups

Temporary Operational Groups (TOGs) work on immediate opportunities with a forecasted timeline and completion date. These groups are instrumental in accomplishing ideation and implementation of cross-organizational issues and innovations to achieve impact across the college.

TOGs are made up of cross-divisional representatives with diverse perspectives, contributions, and institutional impact to plan development, improve and review resources, and mobilize large-scale initiatives.

Charge

  • Develop RFP and recommend firm to help develop an Energy Master Plan for CC that aims to reduce residual greenhouse gas emissions by 50% by 2035.
  • Wean the college off fossil fuel use for normal daily operation.
  • Improve and provide opportunities for student energy and sustainability literacy and professional development.
  • Increase CC’s resiliency to climate disruptions.
  • Decrease CC’s financial exposure to commodity markets associated with energy use and production.

The Campus Accessibility temporary operational group is charged with researching and providing information and training throughout campus about accessibility law and best practices. Each member will be a conduit to roll out training within their representative areas and provide expertise and access to information related to accessibility across campus.

The CC Parent and Family Experience temporary operational group is charged with developing an overarching strategy for the CC parent experience and defining the structure and resources necessary to support that work.

The Employee Training Temporary operational group is charged with identifying, prioritizing and ensuring the effectiveness of training that is mandated for all staff and faculty.

ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï has a need to ensure that all employees understand how to perform certain key expectations of their roles. Some of these expectations are defined by regulatory bodies. Other expectations must be met for effective operations of the college. While broadly assigned mandatory training can help meet these needs, the administrative burden of creating, assigning, and participating in mandatory training can be significant. This team will work to ensure any such requests are effective and appropriate use of organizational resources.

Charge

The Summer Student Program Logistics temporary operational group (SSLTOG) is charged with creating standard operating procedures (SOP) for the logistical support for current college students and minors of the Stroud Scholars, Bridge Scholars, Pre-College, and the Social Action Institute during the summer. This SOP should include the process from recruitment through execution and follow-up procedures after the students have completed the summer experience. The goal is to document workflows in the service of planning ahead, determining a shared and clear division of labor across the college, identifying gaps as well as synergies, and informing next steps for staffing.

  • Develop a sustainable parking fee structure for the campus.
  • Develop parking policies and processes that are comprehensive of all parking users: full-time employees, part-time employees, contracted employees, students, long-term visitors, and short-term visitors.
